Macadamia oil is the richest botanical source of palmi-oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid. Palmi-Oleic acid is a component of our natural skin sebum, so it replenishes our skins naturally accruing lipids, which decrease with age. It is a highly emollient oil and can be useful for dry and/or maturing skin as the palmi-oleic acid has some anti-aging properties. It also appears to have a slight sunscreen effect. Shea butter is a rich buttery oil soothing, replenishing and leaving a gloss on the skin.
