SKIN TYPES Normal Skin Usually skin that we are blessed with before hormones kick in! Distinguished by a moist, plump look that has a healthy glow and colour. The surface of the skin shows a fine texture with minimal wrinkles, fine line or open pores Dry Skin Can be a result of the aging process, but can also be hereditary. It tends to be fine, wrinkles easily and has fine pores. Dry skin is the result of under active sebaceous glands. Dry skin can also be dehydrated; its lack of oil can reduce its ability to retain moisture. Acne is chronic inflammatory disease caused when the pore (or hair follicle) becomes blocked by skin cells that aren’t properly expelled. The skin cells stick together and when combined with sebum it plugs the pore and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. This in turn causes inflammation and can be hard to treat.
