Skin Care - Australian Beauty – Natural Products

Hi I am Carly Palmer founder of DesertPea Native Australian Skin Care and Beauty Products.  The ‘DesertPea’ range has evolved over many years influenced by my background in environmental conservation and natural therapies. My love of the Australian bush and our native flora is shown in every product that I make. After all of these years I still make each product in small batches with love and care.

When I am not mixing up beautiful formulas and playing with amazing essential oils in my studio, I am happily massage my loyal list of clients in Adelaide, South Australia. I feel very blessed to be dong what I love with so much passion, energy and excitement. My friends will tell you that it is probably the fumes of the essential oils in my house, car and studio that make me Zen but it is definitely the satisfaction and joy that I get from living my life aligned with my dreams and calling.

Why is the brand called ‘DesertPea’ Skin Care?

As with many small business owners, when I started creating my natural skin care and beauty products, I anguished long and hard for a name that would align with my vision for my beauty products. One day I saw in my mind an image of a beautiful Sturt Desert Pea blooming in a vast desert. The Desert Pea is a unique wildflower to Australia, well known for its beauty and ability to survive in a harsh and barren environment. The vision struck me immensely as a metaphor for true beauty within each of us and how we must live and survive in sometimes barren environments both emotionally and physically in order to really find ourselves and the beauty within our nature to overcome and survive almost anything.

My vision

I am committed to advocating and expressing understanding and appreciating beauty as inner wisdom stemming from mind and soul, which then manifests and radiates through the body. Natural beauty does not have boundaries constituted by culture, creed, genetics, sizes, colour or labels. It is what we do and what we stand for that give us depth and beauty. When you reach the state of an enlightened mind, beauty and truth will always radiate from your inner self. Healthy skin and body are both products of a healthy mind.
